Explanation:
Using free-form surfaces, the 3D scan is traced as precisely as possible, either manually or automatically, to map a closed solid model matching the actual real-world state.
Possible deviation between STL and STEP:
0 – 0.05 mm
Note:
The resulting STEP File can easily reach 500MB - 1000MB making it difficult to work with.
